Oz Eco Tours is a small exclusive company in the business of empowering people to seek out their own experiences on country. We are a movement and bring or own culture to counter over-tourism and its negative impacts on the environment and people. Our goal is purely to empower you to connect with our country through a series of positive, lifechanging experiences.
We are owned and operated by our team of dedicated and talented guides; we are an Australian company who re-invests in supporting programs and people who engage in empowering humanity and effecting positive change.
Our founder, Billy “Chilli” Hall, Ngarritj of the Yirritja dreaming, has spent decades travelling and guiding all over Australia, seeking out deep connections with Nature and the ancient culture of our First Nations Peoples.
It is this collective experience that Oz Eco Tours is built upon, bringing exclusive style experiences to our clientele with carefully selected locations that silo us away from the crowds and large tourist providers.
We do not view tourism as an industry where profits should continually be moved off country through large international companies with little thought of their impact on our peoples and environment and ultimately your experience. We are not afraid to be ourselves and to create our own niche to create a positive impact, and it all starts with you and your experience with us.

Our purpose

Empower people to self-explore and learn how to be at one with the natural environment and true culture through connection, education, and experiencing the mental and physical healing properties of being on this country. We want to showcase an authentic Australian experience, deep diving and exposing complex issues that aren't on any tourist brochures whilst sharing its natural wonders and a hopeful future.

2. Education- Integrated into your experience:
   1. We take lessons from First Nations Peoples on how they connected with the environment and explore their incredible culture of sustainability and community.
   2. We integrate First Aid training tailored on country into your experience to instil confidence in your ability to handle situations whilst self-exploring.
   3. We show you the basics of camping, The right gear, simple skillsets in weather protection, open fire preparation and alternatives, and open fire cooking demonstrations including our recipes.
   4. We teach you offroad driving techniques & basic recovery.
3. Environmental footprint:
   1. We leave no trace.
   2. We waste nothing.
   3. We only use organic fruit and vegetables.
   4. We only use free range and organic meats.
   5. Our dream is to provide a service that redefines levels of environmental impact. For example, we want to purchase long range Electric 4x4 Vehicles fuelled by clean energy sources as soon as its viable, meanwhile we will measure and offset our carbon footprint.
   6. We want you to support manufacturers who make a positive impact in this space, and we wear what we preach and provide pragmatic recommendations.
4. Healing on Country: We strongly believe in the mental and physical well-being benefits of connecting and being immersed in nature, in fact we know this to be true through lived experience and this is maybe the greatest experience we can offer you. We don't sit in circles, hold hands and howl to the moon and we are not affiliated with any organised religious group. Quite simply we pragmatically discuss and share our experiences and help you understand our path and the positive impacts it has had upon us in the hope that you find similar effect in your life.
