The Gondwana Rainforests of Australia, World Heritage Area, contains the most extensive areas of subtropical rainforest in the world, large areas of warm temperate rainforest, and the majority of the world's Antarctic beech cool temperature rainforest. These extraordinary areas still contain ancient and primitive plants and animals from which life on Earth evolved.

Wonder at endemic rare and endangered flora and fauna as we connect deeply and learn intimate details about this ancient landscape amidst a backdrop of mind-blowing gorges.

At night we camp under the impossible star filled evenings utilising Oz Eco’s cutting-edge sleeping systems, staying in wonderful eco lodges, feast on gourmet fire cooked meals and chill around the night fire absorbing the pristine serenity of our environment with the world a galaxy way. Dawn breaks to a chorus of the magic New England Superb Lyrebird, who have the most complex songs of all of these ancient birds.

We will supply a high-quality insulated water bottle for you as part of our package and a high quality double walled titanium coffee/tea mug. We love our gear, but we also absolutely love the environment and the eco systems we play in so please ask us about what we are wearing and using on and off trail as these conversations lead to positive change. Also please ask pre-tour as well if there are items you need to purchase, and we will steer you in the right direction before you arrive.

What you need Bring any of your own special requirements and we will accommodate accordingly.

Clothing:

What you need We recommend hiking socks, gaiters, hiking shoes/boots, rain jacket, sun protection, long trousers/hiking tights and swimmers. Depending on weather forecasts as supplied by us you may need a winter clothing setup as well. We do provide a complimentary baseball style cap as part of the package, but you may want to bring a backup option or wider brimmed hat if you are prone to negative effects from sun exposure.

If you are new to either camping or to the country, all of the gear you use is also available for sale as second-hand items at discounted rates. The idea behind this is to empower you immediately to further your journey into nature on your own with your new knowledge and skillsets with the right equipment that you are now accustomed to. If you are just in Australia for a short time, we are looking at ways for you to sell back your items to incoming clients and/or travellers using our website as an intermediary for safe transaction purposes. We are also looking at gifting to those in need of temporary bedding i.e rough sleepers, safe houses, overcrowded Aboriginal communities where we will show you via personal video link exactly where your equipment has gone and how valuable it is to those in need.
As with all of our tours, learn basics of 4x4 driving, basic first aid tailored for Australia, technical camping & hiking instruction and gear to purchase (buy the gear you are using) as well as learning to cook extraordinary meals on open fire and coals. Our goal is to empower you to self-explore this incredible country safely and with the right information to create your own life changing experiences. We want to be with you on every trail, path, escarpment, waterfall and of course every sunset, sunrise and campfire!
